Artist Statement
The emotional tone speaks to the juxtaposition of softness and severity, creating a dialogue between calm and tension. The palette combines warm white and powder pink to evoke softness, and contrasts these with carbon black and sharp crimson for severity. This interplay creates a visual tension where the sharp crimson marks interrupt the muted fields of pink, representing the pulse of conflicting emotions. The placement of darker colors at the edges reinforces a boundary, while lighter hues swell in the center, suggesting an open gate. This reflects the seed's themes of conflict and resolution through abstract patterns where density meets quiet spaces.
