Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional dichotomy of strength and vulnerability through a layered approach. The palette of deep black for strength contrasts with pale blue for vulnerability, representing the intense push-and-pull of these emotions. The collision occurs centrally, where dense blocks of black intersect with softer, thread-like patterns of pale blue, depicting a struggle between the protective and the exposed. Broken pixels disrupt the expected patterns, adding a layer of complexity and reflecting the imperfections in our emotional experiences, while keeping negative spaces to signify moments of introspection amidst conflict.
