Artist Statement
This piece evokes a sense of contrast between longing and resolve, using the selected palette that reflects muted terracotta and gentle greens, symbolizing weary serenity against the vigor of intention. The outer border, composed of darker hues, provides a boundary, representing the weight of longing while the inner grid uses lighter, warmer tones symbolizing resolve. As the tension crescendos diagonally across the piece, broken pixels introduce an intentional disruption, creating moments of repair amidst damage, emphasizing the heartbeat of urgency.
