Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional contrast between longing and resolve, utilizing a palette reflective of hope (soft gold) against the backdrop of fear (black, dark violet). The center showcases dense clusters of soft gold against pale green, interrupted by quiet fields of black, creating a tension that symbolizes the pulsing struggle between a search for serenity and the urgency of repair. Broken pixels represent the cracks in the facade, establishing the motif of a light struggling to break through an obstructed view. The layout reflects eroded symmetry, mirroring the internal conflict, suggesting that our emotional narratives are not cleanly resolved but marked by imperfections and stark contrasts.
