Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a complex interplay of softness and severity, expressed through a palette of cool and warm tones. The use of soft pinks and whites introduces lightness and hope, contrasting sharply against deep blacks and steel grays that signify weight and boundaries. The main collision occurs at the central diagonal where soft and delicate colors (powder pink) intersect with punctuated darks (carbon black), suggesting a struggle between the gentle urge to reach out and the firm constraints of emotional barriers. The seed's implication of transitioning feelings thrums through the pulse-like arrangement, reflecting a gradual movement towards forgiveness, all while maintaining the integrity of space through strategic negative areas.
