Artist Statement
This composition explores the duality of trust and suspicion through a muted palette juxtaposed with sharp contrasts. The subtle tones of powder pink and warm white provide a base of warmth and stability, symbolizing trust. In contrast, the bold carbon black and sharp crimson introduce elements of suspicion and disruption. The diagonal fall of colors creates movement reminiscent of shifting emotions, while the broken pixels interrupt visual flow, evoking the cracks in human trust. The central collision occurs between the darker, more intense colors at the summit of the piece, representing the pressure of suspicion against the quieter fields below, representing trust—culminating in a tension-filled yet evocative visual dialogue.
