Artist Statement
This composition reflects the struggle between emptiness and desire through the juxtaposition of cooler grays symbolizing absence and warmer reds representing longing. The layout embraces a split between the top and bottom halves, employing a radial pattern for desire and a crosshatch for emptiness, suggesting an intricate balance and inner conflict. The collisions occur in the central area where the two emotions meet, creating a visual echo of tension and yearning, enhanced by some broken pixels which introduce imperfection and depth.
