Artist Statement
The artwork navigates the emotional duality of envy and gratitude, contrasting the heavy darkness of envy with the warm glow of gratitude. The palette employs burnt orange and gold to symbolize hope and appreciation, while dark red and charcoal illustrate depth and weight. The zigzagging structure evokes movement, symbolizing a climb amid noise, with a center anchored by the flame shape that pulses against an off-center arrangement. The collision occurs where vivid colors punctuate darker fields, symbolizing interruption and energy. Broken pixels create an imperfect rhythm, reinforcing the tension between stability and chaos.
