Artist Statement
The emotional tone juxtaposes defiance's unmoved core against submission's descending presence. The chosen palette, rooted in 'gratitude_envy', uses vibrant greens and warm golds to evoke a contrast between energy (defiance) and calm (submission). The main collision occurs in the center, where ember patterns of warm tones clash with the quieter checker patterns that envelop the edges, representing the struggle between resistance and retreat.
