Artist Statement
This piece explores the interplay between vulnerability and strength through a distinct palette and arrangement. The choice of muted cream (#E5D0B5) and small orange (#FBBF77) in the left half conveys a sense of tenderness, representing exposure and frailty, while the deeper tones of red oxide (#7F3F3F) and blackened plum (#5C2E3D) on the right invoke a feeling of resilience and fortitude. The dance between color intensity fosters a visual tension, epitomized by the central collision where lighter hues break into darker regions, symbolizing the complex reality of strength emerging from vulnerability. The 'fault_line' and 'negative_cross' patterns create a dynamic rhythm, while open corners and controlled negative space suggest evolution and dialogue between the two states.
