Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between the clear and the chaotic, using a palette that juxtaposes sharp and muted tones. The dark, static gray and dead black represent noise and interference, while electric blue and signal green symbolize clarity and pulse. The vertical split layout emphasizes the collision between these emotions, with the left column comprising the more chaotic colors representing noise, while the right showcases a clearer arrangement of the signal. The use of broken pixels adds imperfections, echoing the concept of memory and erasure. The vibrant hot magenta acts as an accent to disrupt and draw attention, creating an ongoing tension and interplay between the two emotional states throughout the grid.
