Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional tension between control and surrender. The selected palette, inspired by sepia, tan, dust gray, and faded blue, evokes feelings of nostalgia and quietude contrasted by bursts of color. The lattice pattern represents structured control on one side, while the broken frame signifies a yielding to chaos on the other. A central clash of dark and light hues creates a visual narrative of pressure and release, reflecting the dynamics of the seed through an abstract lens. The jagged edges encapsulate the disruption that control experiences when faced with the urge to surrender.
