Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the tension between longing and resolve, represented through complex contrasts in the palette and arrangement. The color selection of mourning black juxtaposed with vibrant pale yellow illustrates the depths of longing and the promise of renewal. Broken pixel elements disrupt the regularity, symbolizing repair versus damage, introducing an organic rhythm that embodies both serenity and urgency. The placement of deep blue and new leaf forms quiet spaces amidst denser clusters, allowing a cacophony of colors to pulse through the composition, with the jagged edges creating a sense of disruption and activity. The density most prominently centers on the left, where the longing waves dominate, colliding and overlapping with the more structured resolve towards the right, eliciting an emotional conversation through color and structure.
