Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a tension between serenity (tenderness) and chaos (rage). The color palette emphasizes this duality; blacks provide depth and intensity while pale blues introduce a serene contrast, suggesting both calmness and a painful beauty. Main contrast collides centrally, where saturated colors encounter muted tones, creating a visual push-pull effect. The gentle staircase pattern illustrates the soft approach of tenderness, while the jagged, flame-like shapes represent bursts of anger. This arrangement evokes both a sense of climbing towards peace and the underlying storm that brews underneath that calm surface.
