Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional dichotomy of loneliness and connection. The chosen palette of red, black, pale blue, and white represents the warmth of connection contrasted with the cold isolation of loneliness. The pattern of a burst from the center with darker colors anchoring the corners suggests an emergence of emotion fighting against the dark weight of solitude. The bright white pixels introduce an echo of connection, creating a stark contrast against the surrounding void of black and deeper hues, emphasizing a noise of unseen struggles. The overall arrangement fosters a dance between the heavy and the light, drawing the eye towards bursts of brightness that offer fleeting hope amidst darker spaces, reminiscent of ancient fires that ignite amidst loneliness.
