Artist Statement
This piece expresses the emotional interplay between restlessness and peace through contrasting patterns. The palette of warm reds and cool blues reflects the duality between tension (restlessness) and calm (peace). A checker pattern occupies the diagonal lower area, suggesting order and stability, while a mirroring pattern disrupts the upper area, representing chaos and rapid motion. The collision occurs centrally where warm reds interrupt cool blues, creating a dynamic visual tension. Broken pixels introduce imperfections, embodying the idea of fragmented thoughts, while negative space allows the viewer to breathe, preventing overwhelm.
