Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the struggle between the rigid bounds of control and the flowing nature of surrender. The palette incorporates soft pastels of powder pink and warm white to evoke gentle yielding, contrasted with deeper hues like carbon black and sharp crimson to represent the intensity of control. The primary collision occurs in the center, marked by jagged edges that interrupt the rhythmic pattern, symbolizing the tensions in navigating emotion. The barcode pattern, representing control, and the ripple pattern of surrender ripple outward against a backdrop of quiet black and gray tones, creating a visual tension that reflects the core struggle in the seed. Broken pixels are scattered to symbolize imperfections, introducing a sense of uncertainty and disruption throughout the composition.
