Artist Statement
This composition captures the emotional duality of control (blackened plum, red oxide) and surrender (muted cream, iron gray). The central square of overfilled darker hues creates a sense of pressure, contrasting with the quieter, lighter colors that represent release. The application of broken pixels introduces intentional disruptions that echo the ongoing struggle between containment and overflow. The jagged edges and cascading flow of colors invite the viewer to reflect on the dynamics of pressures experienced in life.
