Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a struggle between softness and rigidity, embodying vulnerability (pale colors) versus strength (dark colors). The chosen palette contrasts clear black tones with light blues and whites to signify protection and exposure. The main collision occurs in the center, where soft blue hues meet stark black, creating tension and illustrating a moment of vulnerability surrounded by heavy edges. This layout emulates falling pixels, where the descent mirrors emotional downward spirals, reinforcing the idea of exposure amidst a safe perimeter, manifesting from the seed metaphor of a 'hole' as both absence and protrusion.
