Artist Statement
The emotional tone juxtaposes the tumult of rage against the gentleness of tenderness, yielding a visual dialogue of tension and release. The palette of saturated red juxtaposed with muted pale blue and black emphasizes the collision of these emotions. The lattice and ash field patterns collide across the grid, creating a rainfall-like descent that encourages both energy and calm, with the primary collision at the center of the square representing an internal conflict. Broken pixels introduce intentional disruptions that echo personal guilt and forgiveness, enriching the narrative subtly. The negative space was preserved to allow the emotions to breathe, reflecting the quiet channels amidst tumultuous feelings.
