Artist Statement
The emotional tone navigates between panic and control, heavily utilizing contrasting colors and patterns to convey tension. The chosen palette of black, pale blue, red, and white emphasizes a struggle between calmness (pale blue) and chaos (red). The top-weighted layout disrupts stability, encouraging the eye to move from the chaos of red sporadically cast against the tranquil blue. The hard edges create a sense of confinement, echoing the feeling of an empty room. Broken pixels introduce imperfection, suggesting unresolved feelings in the midst of control. The placement of the colors oscillates between dense clusters and quieter spaces, embodying the seed's emotional depth and the abstract pattern arising from these collisions.
