Artist Statement
This artwork reflects the interplay of loneliness and connection through intentional color placement and contrasting patterns. The palette of burnt orange, dark red, charcoal, and gold embodies a palette of ancient fire, capturing the intensity of emotion and the warmth amidst pressure. The 'mirror_broken' layout creates a cohesive yet disrupted symmetry, representing the tension between connection (warm colors) and loneliness (dark tones). The dot pattern conveys a sense of isolation while allowing glimpses of connection to emerge, creating a narrative of hope amid quiet conflict. The broken pixels introduce imperfection, emphasizing the chaotic nature of emotional collisions, while the strategic use of negative space ensures room for contemplation and release.
