Artist Statement
This artwork expresses the duality of restlessness and peace through contrasting patterns and colors. The palette of mourning black, deep blue, new leaf, pale yellow, and stone evokes a sense of deep reflection and renewal. The collision occurs centrally with sharp edges of the crack pattern representing restlessness pushing against the more serene maze pattern, effectively capturing the emotional tension.
