Artist Statement
This composition navigates the emotional discourse of control and surrender through a contrasting palette of muted cream and deep reds. The overall tone is one of tension, where the darker colors create a defined border around the lighter center, representing control, while an overflow of muted hues signifies surrender. The contrasting elements collide in the center of the grid, evoking a sense of pressure that gradually releases towards the edges. Employing the 'pillar' shape as a metaphor for structure, the pixel arrangement reflects stuttered steps of control giving way to a more fluid surrender.
