Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional tension between strength and vulnerability through a palette inspired by joy and grief. The left half, represented in deep blues and muted purples, conveys a sense of stability and rootedness, embodying strength with a thick frame pattern. The right half, using yellows and oranges, captures the essence of vulnerability, highlighted by an echo pattern that disrupts the visual harmony. The main collision occurs at the vertical divide; this overlapping of colors creates a pattern, where the strong, dark edges frame the softer, brighter interior, invoking a push-and-pull dynamic. The use of broken pixels around the edges symbolizes the imperfections within strength, while maintaining a quiet negative space allows for a release of emotional pressure.
