Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional duality of nostalgia and progress, representing them through a juxtaposition of soft, warm colors with deep, darker shades. The outer border in dark maroon introduces a feeling of pressure and emotional weight, while the lighter pink and gray tones signify a gentle release and nostalgia within the center. The pattern of broken pixels subtly evokes the imperfection of memories colliding with the forward motion of life. The contrast between the solid outer frame and the fragmented core embodies the theme of tension and release.
