Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the tension between explosive rage and serene calm. The selected palette of deep blacks and vibrant reds contrasts sharply with softer pale blues and whites, symbolizing the collision of these emotions. The top rows convey rage with dense, chaotic patterns reminiscent of a maze, while the bottom rows feature calmness in soft, patchwork arrangements. This oscillation creates a dynamic interplay, with the dominant presence of rage in the upper half intentionally interrupting the quieter flows below. Broken pixels add a sense of imperfection and urgency, enhancing the abstract narrative of a struggle between control and overflow.
