Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a juxtaposition of longing's stretched, fragile yearning and resolve's firm, compressed strength. The palette of mourning black, deep blue, new leaf, pale yellow, and stone conveys a balance of darkness and renewal. The left side embodies a veil of longing with ethereal, muted colors hinting at distance, while the right side embraces the dense ash field of resolve through stronger, bolder hues. The main collision occurs at the vertical center where longing meets resolve, symbolizing the tension between gaps and uniting threads, crafted in broken pixels for an intentional imperfection reflecting repair amid damage.
