Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional tension between vulnerability and strength through its color choices. The dominant dark navy (#001F3F) fills the corners with an assertive presence, while scattered lighter colors like off-white (#F8F9FA) and faint peach (#F6D9C1) create an ethereal light in the center. The collision occurs primarily at the center, where the ripple pattern of lighter colors disrupts the dense ash field of darker tones. This arrangement symbolizes a dynamic struggle—a braid of emotions, where strength and vulnerability intertwine, layered with broken pixels that act as scars, suggesting resilience amidst imperfections.
