Artist Statement
This composition plays on the tension between quiet and pressure, with a dominant presence of dark navy to evoke a sense of weight and compression on the left side. The right side, marked by faint peach and dust gray, offers a sense of lightness and space. The collision occurs diagonally, where the crosshatch patterns of the compressed red introduce an interruption within the calm pulse marks of the quiet side, creating a dynamic shift. The broken pixels add intentional disruptions, enhancing the theme of shattering against the tide of calming space.
