Artist Statement
The emotional tone encapsulates the struggle between clarity and chaos, represented through the use of dark hues to signify noise and bright white as the signal trying to emerge. The palette of dark navy and dim cyan contrasts with the occasional vibrant white, embodying the tension between the noise (static) and the signal (clear path). The dominant color occupies 65% of the square, with noise creeping into the center from all edges, symbolizing invasion. This arrangement suffuses the artwork with a sense of pressure and interruption, while maintaining visible negative space to evoke isolation in the midst of distortion.
