Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional interplay between 'control' and 'surrender.' The contrasting palette of dark violet and soft gold denotes the clash of pressure (control) and release (surrender). The use of broken pixels represents intentional disruptions amidst an otherwise structured grid, which echoes the idea of an overfilled center. The collision predominantly occurs in the central rows, where warmer colors burst through cooler tones, reflecting an emotional overflow against containment. This layout of an 'open gate' suggests both an invitation and a boundary, allowing tension and movement to coexist.
