Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional tension between defiance and submission. The palette combines warm shadows and cool blues, allowing for a vibrant contrast that resonates with the themes of resistance and yielding. The center is densely packed with broken dots, symbolizing defiance, while softer rain patterns finish the edges, depicting submission. The flow of colors and patterns creates a dialogue between bold interruptions in the center and gentle collapses throughout. The layout's quiet channel allows for breathing space, adding depth and inviting the viewer to reflect on the interplay of pressure and release.
