Artist Statement
This composition captures the emotional push and pull between defiance and submission. The palette, drawn from warm coral and cold slate, creates a vivid contrast of warm and cool tones, embodying the tension of these opposing feelings. The main collision area lies in the center where sparks of defiance (bright colors) erupt amidst the submissive, soft folds (muted colors) at the edges.
