Artist Statement
The emotional tone embodies the struggle between panic and control, expressed through a palette that contrasts fiery reds with cooler tones of pale blue and white. The black provides depth and grounding, creating a resonant backdrop against which the opposing emotions collide. The layout mimics falling pixels, representing chaos spilling downwards in jagged zigzags. The crosshatch pattern embodies panic, while broken dots signify control, intentionally disrupted through 'broken pixels' to visually represent imperfection. The primary contrast lies in the tension created by the interspersed brighter colors against the darkened field, reflecting the push and pull of emotions inherent in the seed.
