Artist Statement
The emotional tone of this artwork captures the push-and-pull of longing versus resolve. The chosen palette of warm coral, soft amber, cold slate, blue black, and signal cyan reflects both warmth and coolness which represent hope and melancholy. The layout in a rising signal signifies upward motion, while the collision of 'stepwell' and 'patchwork' patterns illustrates tension and complexity, emerging from a central space in the middle of the canvas. Broken pixels intentionally disrupt the rhythm, symbolizing repair and damage, leading to a greater depth of feeling in this abstract representation of the seed.
