Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional tension between 'spark' and 'ash'. The left half embodies 'spark' with vivid colors symbolizing energy and vivacity, while the right half represents 'ash' with muted tones reflecting memory and restraint. The color palette mixes the warmth of pale yellow and deep blue, with mourning black for depth. The collision occurs at the vertical center where islands of vibrant colors from 'spark' disrupt the muted shatter pattern of 'ash'. This interplay of bright and dark conveys a narrative of resilience against the fragility of memory, expressed through chaotic energy on one side and subdued remnants on the other. The layout favors a split vertical form, ensuring a distinct yet immersive contrast throughout the piece.
