Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional dichotomy of dread and relief, using a palette that reflects both heavy darkness and a cool, light escape. The dark tones occupy much of the space, simulating the feeling of dread, while the pale mint and faded gold represent moments of relief. The collision is centered, with radiant colors sparking against a backdrop of swirling darks and grays, suggesting chaos amidst order. This layout mimics a spiral, with the impact of emotion felt stronger toward the center, gradually releasing towards the edges.
