Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional tension between rage and tenderness through distinct color choices and placements. The palette combines stark black and warm reds to display the intensity of rage, while softer pale blue and whites suggest a calm tenderness. The main collision occurs through the jagged edges of red pixels cutting through the smoother blue bands, creating a narrative of conflict and resolution. The layout follows stacked bands, where there is a gradual shift from dense black and red at the top, implying rage, releasing into open pale blue bands towards the bottom, suggesting tenderness and calmness.
