Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional contrast between dread and relief through a dynamic palette of muted tones and accent highlights. The cool tones of pale mint and soft sky represent relief, while storm gray and near black encapsulate dread, creating a spiral pressure that tightens in one corner and loosens towards the opposite edge. The design employs broken pixels that echo the ancient fire's unpredictable nature, introducing intentional disruptions. The composition flows inward, evoking a tension that releases and creates negative space, reflecting the delicate balance explored by the seed.
