Artist Statement
The artwork reflects the emotional oscillation between defiance and submission, captured through a palette of burnt orange, dark red, charcoal, and gold. The darker tones represent weight and oppression, creating a sense of pressure and conflict, while the brighter accents (orange and gold) serve as ephemeral moments of defiance and hope. The layout, visually resembling 'falling pixels,' embodies the tension through a descending rhythm, while the asymmetrical placement echoes unresolved motion. The negative space creates breathing room amidst dense clusters, invoking the push and pull of love and betrayal intrinsic to the emotional seeds.
