The artwork captures the tension between love and betrayal through a duality of warmth and coolness. The color palette combines warm pinks and reds representing love with darker maroons and grays symbolizing betrayal. The top four rows feature a crosshatch pattern reflecting love's complexity, while the bottom four rows use a checker pattern to convey the fractured aspect of betrayal.
