Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between vulnerability and strength. The palette combines warm coral and soft amber to express warmth and comfort, against cold slate and blue black that convey shadows and depth. The central area features a stronger presence of coral and amber to symbolize strength, reflecting the stable core, while the edges introduce lighter tones and signals of blue black, representing vulnerability and exposure. The main collision occurs at the center, where maze-like patterns of warm colors contrast against crack-like interruptions of the cooler tones, creating a dynamic spiral flow that leads the eye inwards and emphasizes a journey from chaos into a secure, illuminated center. The broken pixels symbolize imperfections in this tension, enhancing the raw, emotional narrative without depicting literal imagery.
