Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tug-of-war between rage and calm by utilizing a confined palette of red, pale blue, black, and white. The outer border in red signifies compressed emotion—the 'rage'—while the inner 4x4 mix of pale blue and white reflects serenity. The main collision occurs at the border where the vibrant reds abruptly invade the calmer tones, representing the explosive tension of contained chaos bleeding into tranquility. This disruption is enhanced by intentional broken pixels throughout, mimicking the sharp contrast between feelings of precision and erratic emotional bursts, translating the seed into a narrative of inner conflict and overflow.
