Artist Statement
This composition reflects the emotional dichotomy of tenderness and rage, rooted in the quiet channel layout that indicates inner complexity surrounded by external noise. The palette juxtaposes saturated reds against muted blues and whites, representing the explosiveness of rage and the delicate nature of tenderness. The collision of patterns, with jagged stairs symbolizing rage against a gentle, broken dot pattern for tenderness, creates dynamic tension focusing inwards, while broken pixels introduce a sense of imperfection and vulnerability. The arrangement maintains a central axis with a few areas of negative space to emphasize the central conflict, creating a rich visual narrative while avoiding literal representations.
