Artist Statement
The emotional tone of awe and terror creates a duality that is expressed through the contrasting palette of black, red, pale blue, and white. The layout embodies a corner invasion, where hues of red rise in intensity against a backdrop of black, inferring a chaotic tension, while soft pale blue and white intersperse, suggesting moments of calm. The arrangement of stripes in this 8x8 configuration reflects the upward movement on one side and downward on the other, signifying the balance between stability and instability. Broken pixels create an organic interruption, enhancing the sense of fractured emotions and memories.
