Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional dichotomy between vulnerability and strength through a color palette that juxtaposes dark, stable tones of black and navy against softer accents of white and dim cyan. The composition features a center-dense cluster of deep hues that symbolize strength, surrounded by lighter, more delicate threads that represent vulnerability. The dominant central area creates a sense of pressure, interrupted by lighter strands that flow outward, suggesting an emergence of exposure. The collision occurs mainly at the center, where dark shades meet the lighter ones, creating a dynamic yet abstract conversation that reflects the complexity of connection and alienation. The arrangement also utilizes broken pixels—intentional gaps in color—to evoke a sense of imperfection and fragility.
