Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between longing and resolve, where longing is represented by a more fluid, braided pattern of soft, gentle colors, while resolve emerges as a firmer pressure band of darker shades. The palette of muted plum, rain blue, and soft cyan flows softly against the stark contrast of lavender gray and moon white. The main collision happens centrally where the two emotional patterns intersect, creating a dynamic visual narrative. Broken pixels along the edges introduce an imperfect, scarred quality, symbolizing the fractures in our emotional states, thus enhancing the overall sense of depth and complexity in this abstract expression.
