Artist Statement
The emotional tone oscillates between fear and hope, showcased by a stark contrast in colors. The black and dark violet create a base of tension and pressure, while the soft gold and pale green represent the glimmers of hope. The upper four rows embody 'fear' through dark stripes, suggesting jagged edges and a crowded emotion, while the lower rows gradually transition to a radial pattern of 'hope', symbolizing a release and upward flow. The broken pixels introduce imperfection, adding to the notion of unresolved emotions.
