Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional tension between loneliness and connection through its composition and color choices. The left side, representing loneliness, uses darker, muted hues like sepia and dust_gray, creating a feeling of isolation and emptiness with larger negative spaces. The right side embodies connection with lighter, brighter tones reminiscent of faded_blue, inviting a sense of warmth and engagement. The collision between darker and lighter shades manifests as a dynamic pulse across the center, symbolizing the struggle between these contrasting feelings. The pattern is intentional, featuring a frame-like structure on the left and an interwoven maze on the right, emphasizing the complexity of connectivity. The broken pixel effect hints at the imperfect nature of memory and experiences, intertwining the emotions into a cohesive abstract narrative.
